MOPANI Copper Mines PLC is holding a two-day Miners’ Feeding Program training aimed at enhancing the catering skills of community members mainly from Mopani’s host communities in Mufulira and Kitwe.

This initiative will empower 94 selected participants, with 95 percent being women, to provide high-volume, hygienic, and nutritionally balanced meals for miners.

Participants will receive essential training to prepare meals (NSHIMA) to support the health and well-being of underground workers (both Mopani and contractor employees) on 12-hour shifts.

The Miners’ Feeding Programme whose trial run is set for June 27, 2025, at Mufulira Mine Site, will not only support the miners but has also created jobs for the community.

This programme underscores Mopani’s commitment to improving the well-being of its workforce and fostering local community development.

We look forward to seeing the positive impact of this initiative on both the participants and the miners they will be serving.
